Life at Collingham Gardens Nursery
Collingham Gardens Nursery is a community nursery (independent charity, part-funded by Camden LA) that provides full-time daycare for 48 weeks a year. We emphasise children's personal and social development, and creating a love of learning and exploration, rather than formal teaching. We are registered to care for 24 children, divided between two rooms, one with 8 two-year-olds and the other with 16 three and four-year olds. Children in each room are cared for by a pair of very experienced staff, all of whom are qualified to level 3 (of Ofsted recognised childcare qualifications) or above. The nursery manager (in post since January 2009) has a BA Hons in Education Studies. Two other staff also have degree status and one staff the Early Years Professional status. In February 2011, Collingham Gardens received an overall 'good' Ofsted rating, with several 'outstanding' elements. The Flash Player and a browser with Javascript support are needed.

What the parents say
"Collingham Gardens is a very special place indeed. The nursery is set in a magical garden which my son loves to play in. We really value the fact that his interest in nature is cultivated and that he spends time searching for ladybirds and digging up worms. His day is full of interest and he clearly takes great pleasure in coming. Collingham Gardens really nurtures the individual. We have seen him develop into an interested and curious boy, with his own little passions that the staff all seem to know about and encourage. " - Kim Segal
